One of the great serial publications of eighteenth century England, The Rambler appeared twice a week from 1750-1752. This first edition is a nice complement to our collection of Johnson dictionaries.

Proposed Conservation Treatment:
Wash first few and last few pages of each volume. Surface clean and repair pages as needed, resew each volume. Rebind in full linen; red calf labels with gold stamping on spines. Two cloth-covered clamshell boxes.
