Piranesi’s views of Rome are gathered here in two large folio volumes. The eternal city’s great buildings are depicted, often in ruins.

Proposed Conservation Treatment:
Surface clean all pages. Remove the first few leaves of each volume and all flyleaves; wash to reduce staining. Reattach leaves to text blocks, reinforce sewing as needed. Remove all leather from bindings and make new spines and corners. Two cloth-covered clamshell boxes.
