Proposed Conservation Treatment:
Make a new front flyleaf. Attach new alum-tawed slips to broken thongs to connect board to book. Cover hinge with Japanese paper and leather, filling gap between book and front board. Retouch color on leather and polish as needed. Cloth covered clamshell box with padded interior to cushion book.
